A Word From Marc: Well, here we are. The Christmas lights are gone and the big game is over. We wake up in the dark and we come home in the dark. I always see February in Minnesota as the bleakest month. Spring is just a little too far away and the fond memories of fall seem so long ago. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy Winter and I like doing hard things but February just seems a little over the top hard. I find myself going to the gym in February instead to running around the lake and facing the windchill. Geez, sometimes walking to the mailbox can be a battle for survival. The cost of eggs these days is nothing compared to the additional cost of winter clothing gear to survive the winter elements. Don't get me started on heating bills. Minnesotans, we're a hearty breed. Oh well, there's nothing like curling up in front of the fireplace with a good book and your favorite bourbon. You can cozy up to the fireplace and save on utilities in this remodeled brick rambler on Deep Lake. It's a pretty sweet spot. Granted it's a little more scenic in the summer without the frozen water but if you have to spend your long winter nights somewhere this ain't too shabby. In the meantime, hang in there. Put your boots on and go get the mail.
